If one things got me good lately it's Karen Walkers latest collection the phase "the beautiful and the damned" comes flooding into my mind. A Grey floral print with hard black gives a great juxtaposition of elegant beauty and hard edge boldness.

One things for sure i will be adopting this colour scheme for Fall with... why not, those cute crisp white ankle socks and brogues.

I'm missing my loved one this week. He's in NY and I'm in Philly... dreaming of traveling to Europe and indulging in some of its fine life - picnics, drinking lots of red wine and bike rides.

Distance makes the heart grow founder and that is exactly whats happening this week, it's the 1st time I've felt extremely homesick. It's been a year since I've been home to Wales, my homeland. I miss my Celtic country and Europe in general.

But America is where I am right now and I'm going to give it MY ALL! I do love it here... A girl can miss her home now and again, right?

I'm heading to New York this weekend for some rum runs and high whiskey kisses.

I need ocean breeze this week. More time on my hands and longer weekends. My boyfriend and his friend cooked a lovely meal on an evening that called the spirit of "camping" - that light warm air and gentle wind.

I need just a 5 day break to let go of my creative frustration and I'll be game for anything. I miss truly the ocean and having that time by yourself where you gaze out into nothingness - just the ocean and the sky. You sit on a rock and just let your thoughts go. I miss that. I want that!

One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is to cook breakfast and have fresh ground coffee, lay on the couch with the sun rays creeping in through the window onto my face while I find inspiration to kick start my day on my ipad. (above poached egg on rye bread making friends with spinach, oven baked cherry tomatoes and mushrooms)

Today i got inspired by a natural themed fashion. Sand colour desert boots, straw like colour palettes with a touch of pop cloud prints and I'm excited to experiment with this DIY i saw on Honestly WTF this weekend!

I took a risk, Summer 2010.

We got a film developed the other week.

Thoughts of Blind Pilot, tip toe dancing, sweaty kisses and sea salt skin paraded through my mind. Bright nights and shoe gazing music illuminate. These were moments where I felt close to perfection, with him splashing around in the ocean. Sneaking glances at me through his drip drying hair while salt drops made his face glisten like a diamond.

My heart hurts today, it's almost true that the human body needs sometime alone otherwise they go bad shit crazy. It's really hard when you try and soak yourself into another world that is so new to you. It's like whiplash. A little bit exciting, a little bit odd, a little bit not quite you.

Friday I was in NYC at the Milk Studios documenting the Free People April catalog.
The place is like a hybrid of creative fun. Sasha Pivovarova rocked my socks off, she's just like a little elfin hopping around the place. Her off duty look was of course relaxed and cool - she was dressed in Marni and Alexander Wang.

Today I'm dreaming off The Frontier coming to life and indulging in the words of Broken Social Scene 'Hotel' after browsing quickly this morning at the Ace Hotel Palm Springs - my golly is that place nice!!!

My sister got engage this New Year. I've never seen someone glow with so much happiness and you can just tell it's coming from deep inside.

I slept over her house last night to share some of her glow, but instead...

I watched her dance in front of her mirror falling in love with the vintage crochet top she had bought that afternoon.

it was really pretty waking up with a cold nose and heading into work with a fresh coating of snow on the ground.

It's vacation time and the loved one is sick, wondering around like a lost dog, groaning and groaning.
It's like he's in this weird world. He stares hopelessly at thin air.

After a couple of months of back and forth thinking on the whole leather pants idea, I finally give in and bought a pair in New York City the other day. Alexa Chung kinda convinced me. I usually see leather pants in editorials all sexed up with killer heels and tight tops - it's hot but my god does it scare the hell out of me.

I'm the type of girl who looks like a complete idiot if I try to recreate that sexy look. However seeing 'Chung' relax the leather pant, I was willing to give it a try.

My leather pants will be casual, worn with knits and shirts, adding my favorite native american jewellery and an ethnic backpack. OH OH and dersert boots, maaaaaaaan! recently I was told a lovely little trick from a fella in a band that I met in Maine. He too loved his Clarks desert boots and told me to replace the rubbery soles with leather ones. MY MY MY MY MY - why didn't I think of that one before!

I’ve just come back from Maine - a slight chill in the air led me on a trail to Fall. Sometimes I wish that the world I iluminate in my mind could easily come true with a blink of an eyelash but reality suffocates my thoughts, my thoughts of living in a log cabin in some mysterious mountain. Morning strolls to collect wood for the fire followed by a day under a candle lit table drawing and writing. Small glances through an old frosted window, beautiful landscape overpowers your vision.

An early evening bath with candles, soft music and a glass of wine encourages a deep sleep while the moans and groans of the curious forest play games with your dreams.

Back to reality – Holiday traffic on the highway and a 7:30 alarm chime but I’m lucky I have a beautiful job to wake up for

I could have gone home early today but i didnt.

I didnt because the only thing i could think about was that i wanted to see you and the only instance whereby i could conceive this happening- where i might get a chance to see you- was if you decided to take the train home and we would happen to cross paths. So i stood in front of the train station tonight, waiting like some kind of fool. Fool because i didnt even know what i was waiting for. For you to come down the escalator? To see you? Would we even speak? I didn't even know if you were in the city today. I didnt know if you would even take the train if by some chance you were in the city. For all i knew you could have been at home or anywhere else for that matter. So i stood like a prize idiot, waiting there by myself. Not even knowing what i was waiting for.

Here is my confession, I’m Weak. So for maybe a minute or an hour or for however long it takes before my pride take over once again, i’m going to be okay with not being okay. And i’m going to say that i miss you and i’m going to admit that i stood in front of a train station for over an hour tonight just because all i wanted all day was a chance to see you.

You wake up with a head ache so intense you feel like your head is in a pressure clamp.
Nothing makes it go away... you get to you're desk, welcomed with an email that makes your emotions run wild... I breath deeply and press delete, saddness comes flowing in like a tidal wave over paradise. It's got to that point now. The delete point.

It's friday and I have no friday feeling today, I'm listing to Sade - By Your Side and Norah Jones. Trying to comfort little gremlins. These holiday pictures from friends back home did it for me and my sister has joined me here in America yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

The temperature had dropped a little in Philadelphia, which made my day far more pleasant.
I was able to hang out practically all day in Rittenhouse Park and not worry about how much salt my body was losing (through sweat that is - yuck I know!)

Highlight of the afternoon?

mmmmm, receiving a call from Las Vegas and blinking twice to reassure myself that I didn't just see The Ghostbusters walk through Rittenhouse... Man, those costumes were good!

Having experienced the great vintage markets of London, I was starting to get mild withdrawal symptoms from not having those rare exquisite items in my wardrobe, that I so proudly loved having before.

Girl: i wore them over the top of a lace blouse for the vintage video, it was kinda cute.

Boy: i think they would look ridiculously cute on you. Apple picking and romping around in a pile of leaves.

Girl: but... i don't know, they remind me of maternity wear

Boy: you can find slimmer ones, Marc Jacobs did a pair a few years back.

I love the challenge of making a look work. Dungarees... I kinda like the idea but i would have to go all APC on them, making them less American work wear and more European chic.

Sometimes I just get the sudden urge to dunk my head straight into water.

For a couple of seconds you can't see much, there's no sound, there's no interruption

your just under water in your own little world for a while.

I love that time - memories of when I used to hold my breath under water in the bath tub have come swimming right back to me

Last night I fell asleep on the lawn until 2 am in the morning. Fireflies all around, the gentle glow of the lanterns around me and the soft spoken voices in the distance twirled my mind into another world. A world of hallucination.

I woke up all dewy faced. Sweet sounds of the piano ended the evening. My mind somewhere else.
